“When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls…” I can hear it now. The foreboding, ominous voice of the ghost host welcoming us into the hour where ghosts are present. Can you hear it?
What better way to start off your day than with a visit from some of your favorite Disney characters and some amazing food! I’ve mentioned before about being introduced to new Disney traditions and character meals (mainly breakfast) are just another one of the many traditions out there. I had only done one character breakfast in my life before I was married. I was maybe in middle school when that happened, but I soon found they are a tradition for the McDonald family (my in-laws) and I am very much okay with that.
Last week I discussed the perks of feeling like a Disney Newbie. This revelation has proven to be quite uplifting and fun to think about. I get excited to learn about things I never knew existed and work them into our Disney park vacations. Today’s new and fun thing is the “Keys to the Kingdom” Tour of Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
Last week on the blog we launched the much anticipated ZADD Crew’s Must Do: #Foodmotivated Edition. Much thought and collaboration went into the making of this amazing list and it really got me thinking about how much I haven’t done at Walt Disney World in all my years traveling there. If this were a WDW version of “never have I ever,” I would be super sober and bored. I started to feel a little left out of all the things I’ve missed over all the years traveled there.
Pumpkins, candy, and costumes, Oh My! Who else cannot wait for Halloween at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom? Now, we have more reason than ever to be excited!
I must confess, I love food. I’m a total foodie and let’s face it, food is just a part of what people love about Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. If you haven’t partaken in the amazing selections available, it’s time to start (you’ll thank me later). Disney has put a lot of effort into the food and beverages they offer, especially because people from all over the world visit the parks and resorts. Disney wants guests to feel at home and have the opportunity to branch out. If you’ve ever read an article, followed Disney friends on Instagram, or listened to a podcast about food at Walt Disney World, then you might be in for a treat today, my friends!
If you’ve seen all the buzz (no pun intended) about new attractions soon to hit Walt Disney World and you want to be the first to book some amazing packages, look no further. Disney’s Magic Your Way 2019 Packages will be available tomorrow June 19th, 2018.
We talked about this before, but I’ll say it again – I am a planner. I can be as type-A as they come and while I have grown in this area to be more spontaneous, I still love to plan. I am not the best car mate when we get lost and have no direction as to where we need to be going. It is one of my pet peeves to be in another state and lost in the car. I get the stress sweats when the GPS signal goes silent and yet my car is still moving forward. Having said this, “to fail to plan is to plan to fail,” in my opinion.
When someone tells me they are going to any Walt Disney World resort, my first question is usually, “When!?” My second question would then be, “Have you booked your FastPasses yet?!” Then I get the question back to me, “What’s a FastPass?”
In the summer of 2017, Walt Disney World launched the newest buzz in the Uber and Lyft world with its own Minnie Van transportation service. Guests staying at participating WDW resort locations could “grab a cab” per say, after enjoying a long day in the park or to just get around the resorts.
In this ever–changing, ever evolving digital world we live in, Disney keeps up. In efforts to make things even easier for parents and small children, Walt Disney World parks are updating their Rider Switch Pass or “Rider Swap” system.
People think I’m crazy until they experience it for themselves, but the Disney blues are very real. Spending any length of time in “the most magical place on earth” puts you on such a whimsical high (a very exhausted, but whimsical high), that you often don’t realize how much fun you’ve had until you step back into reality. I always feel like Sadness from the movie “Inside Out” when walking through the front door of my house after returning from a Disney trip.
Want to eliminate worlds or refuel with your favorite soda? Now you can do both with Disney California Adventure’s new Infinity Gauntlet sipper from the late Avengers: Infinity War movie.
Picture yourself at a red carpet event such as the Oscars or Grammys. Think about all the flashing cameras and people screaming your name trying to get a picture or a quick interview. Now, think about what Joan Rivers might be saying from her red carpet fashion commentary on TV talking about “who wore it better?” or “what in the world are they wearing?”
Ever lost something beloved at Walt Disney World parks but didn’t want to go through the crazy process to find it? Worry not, they have heard your plea for a simpler way to find your lost items!
Ready to start your day off with your favorite Disney characters? If you are visiting a Disneyland Resort July 10th or after, you can!
Close your eyes and imagine you’re holding a warm bucket of perfectly salted and buttered popcorn. You start to salivate because the smell of popcorn begins to permeate the air. I imagine myself at the movie theatre for this experience (one of my favorite places).
June 23, 2018 is a big day for Disney California Adventure park as the newly-renovated Pixar Pier reopens to the public during Pixar Fest going on until September 3.
Visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios in June, 2018? Be sure to check your travel dates as Toy Story Mania will be closing June 11th for small renovations. The official dates of closure are June 11-18th.
Want to dine among the stars? The literal stars? Soon you can in Walt Disney World’s Epcot. The new space-themed restaurant (name to be announced) will be located between the Mission: SPACE and Test Track attractions.
