Starting May 28th, there will be a brand new way for you to enjoy Happily Ever After and your favorite bite-sized desserts! Disney Parks Blog released this morning that the reason for the change is “due to the popularity of the Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom Park.” You still gain access to the special viewing area in the Plaza Garden, but when the fireworks are over, you can make your way to the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant where your sweet treats are waiting for you. The all-you-care-to-eat menu includes items that take you on a decadent culinary tour through the lands of the Magic Kingdom. Among those listed in this announcement are Pineapple Delights (to represent Adventureland), a s’mores “action station” (for Frontierland), Ooey Gooey Toffee Cakes (Liberty Square), Macarons (Fantasyland), a cookie table (Tomorrowland), and Strawberry Tarts (Main Street U.S.A). There will also be a small selection of savory snacks like mini eggrolls, spinach dip, and a cheese and cracker plate. Sparkling cider, coffee, tea, and milk are also provided at no additional charge. The After Fireworks Dessert Party is scheduled to be part of the 4th of July festivities as well as the Halloween and Christmas parties, so stay tuned for specially themed snacks for those events. Pricing is $69 for adults and $41 for children. Guests can start calling in reservations now (online reservations open May 24th).
Tune in to Wednesday’s podcast (episode 84) where I will give some personal thoughts on this news and why I prefer it to the party beforehand.
