The end of school looming and the weather heating up can only mean one thing. Summer is right around the corner and so is one of Amercians favorite holidays, the Fourth of July. Disney has unveiled its American Legend collection celebrating both the Independence Day and, well… Mickey. The theme of the collection is Laugh, Love, Mickey. This collection celebrates what both America and Mickey stand for: “original and one of a-kind.” Of course Red, White, and Blue is the main color scheme in this collection featuring both apparel and home decor. That makes these items some of our top take-home treasures this summer as they will be sure to remind you each year of the magic and memories you made on your Disney World trip.
The entire family is covered by the apparel in this collection with sizes ranging from infants up to plus. The collection also includes flip flops and star and hidden Mickey scarves. It also offers large sun hats that are perfect for lounging by the resort pool. Other options include lightweight zip-up hoodies, baseball caps, and even an adorable red white and blue child’s spirit jersey. Of course, the collection wouldn’t be complete without Mickey and Minnie themselves. Featuring a ready-to-picnic ensemble, the mini plushes are the perfect addition.
One of my personal favorites is the blue sequin star spangled Minnie ears complete with a white bow. Yup, those are defeitently going to be added to my ever-growing ears collection. I also love the Mickey Canvas tote, with optional personalization available at the parks. Leave it to Disney to think of every perfect detail in this American collection.
Home decor ranges from dish towels and embroidered throw pillows, to travel mugs. Currently, the collection is available to purchase in person at both Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. Part of the collection is now available to purchase online, while a lot of the Independence Day items still remain park exclusive, making any item within the red, white, and blue lines the perfect souvenir to pick up on your next Walt Disney World trip.
